Hey folks!

My name is Zach and I'm excited to get working on a Range Trooper costume, and have been meaning to deploy for a couple years now so it's a perfect situation for me. I have some costuming/prop work under my belt, but this will definitely be pushing the envelope (in a good way) for me. The Range Trooper Facebook page has been a great resource and my only real concern now is how hot the thing might be, but I'll see if I can stick a fan in the backplate or not. Advice and chitchat welcome!

Hi Zach,
Good luck on the build. Cant say much on the range trooper. But for the ESB snowie being used in the tropics (Philippines) is a challenge. However based on my use, even with the duster and armor, as long as there is a breeze, it somehow cools inside. What I did is I placed a neck fan in front and then a small USB powered computer fan on top of my helmet with the wires running toward my pants pocket. This prevents fogging inside as well as keep my head literally cool. Based on the covering of the range trooper seems you can hide fans in between the layers.
