Hey all!! Glad to be here!!

I just started working on a snowtrooper build, so far so have made the duster, working tracking down the rest of the components.

Buddy of mine has been a member for years and I’m looking to join the 501st ranks one day, so of course I came to the coolest part!

I will definitely need a guiding hand on different components, looking for everything besides the duster. I don’t mind putting the work in either.

My progress so far. I’m having difficulty finding the boots, anybody have an idea of were I could look? I’ve checked EBay and Amazon.

Hey Troy, glad to have you on board!

It's hard to tell in the pics due to the small size of them but I see a few things that may need to be addressed-

First, I'd recommend getting your mukluks in as you need them to ensure your duster length is going to be good. You should be able to easily find them on Ebay, craigslist even. HerosOutdoors in Canada sells them in both used and new conditions as well. Just be sure to research your size properly. Additionally, things to look out for is that some pairs are known to have markings placed on them (mostly letters) which are clearly visible and very difficult to remove.

The 2nd thing is, as it's hard to tell, but it looks like you have a seam running around the waist portion of the duster? If that's the case, it should be hidden as best as possible by the belt as the duster is suppose to be void of a seam along the waist

Let us know what else you need help with!

I’m looking into those Mukluks, thank you for the link!

I adjusted that seam, I will post pictures again soon, yeah I’ll have to monkey with the file size. I was having issues uploading them because the site kept saying they were too big so I went as small as I could. When I made the Duster I used a pair of mukluks that were 501st approved.

Thank you again for all of the Tips! I will continue to post my progress!

You are certainly at the right place to get the right tips. Keep it up :-)

For the Mukluk, there is a store in my neighborhood that sell quite a lot of used ones. The price depends of how weathered they are so it's possible to get some (very used) for really cheap. It's more a brick and mortar store than an online one. But they told me they would be willing to ship some basically anywhere.
