Hi from Perth Western Australia

Post by wicket the famous »

Hi All,

My name is Michelle and i live in Perth Western Australia. I have joined the Blizzard Force detachment as i would like to become a snow scout. I would also like to do a snow trooper build later down the track. And then finally a scout trooper as well. I love everything star wars, motorbikes and gaming and i cannot wait to get my first costume accepted for legion certification. I will join the Desert Scorpion Garrison when the time comes and i cannot wait until i can troop with everyone.

Thanks

Michelle (wicket the famous)

Hi Michelle and welcome to the Blizzard Force detachment!

Sounds like you'll be pretty busy ;) Great choices of costumes. If you need help for the snow scout and the snowtrooper just give us a shout :)

Good luck for your builds and stay frosty!

Hi Welcome Michelle!
It is possible to wear a Blizzard Force costume in Australia!!! I wear one in Qld so there are a few of us brave enough to try it!
Snow scouts are pretty rare, and female ones in Australia at that, so you will definitely be unique!
We have experienced folk here who can assist you in your build and where to source materials, as well as your local Desert Scorpion Garrison being a source of assistance so do reach out here and locally.

All the best with your journey to join the frostiest side of the Empire!

Hi All,

I have a quick question on the Boots for the snow scout outfit. Is there anyone here that can help me source the boots as I am unsure where to start looking.

Thanks in advance

The boots are the same Canadian Army Mukluk boots that the snowtroopers have. If you google Canada mukluks army surplus and choose a pair you should be fine. The boots aren't too pricey but the shipping is a kicker (see what I did there! lol)

BOOTS:
- Snow Trooper style Mukluks to be used, with the correct 3 cotton webbing straps around the calves, secured along the rear “spine” of the boot with a rivet/Chicago screw in each strap.
- Straps must not sag when worn and have a distinctive gap between them.
- The lace loops can either be present or removed, however if loops are present, laces are required

Thanks RebelRach,

That's exactly what I did and now all I have to do is wait and see if there are people that can help me in this. I could not find pictures of them but I sent the the crl part on the boots with the picture from it as well. So here is hoping for good news.

Try this link, all I did was google “Canada Army mukluks boots”

https://www.armynavydeals.com/asp/produ ... catid=2100

Anywhere from $40-80usd is a decent price but you’re likely to pay double that for postage unfortunately
