Hello and thanks for having me! my name is Joe and I am living in Hudson,NY(about 2 hours N of NYC). I am brand new not just here but to trooping in general. I am not a 501st member yet (no kit), but look forward to membership as soon as I can get my snowtrooper together. Snowtroopers have been one of my favorite characters every since I first saw ESB so I can't wait to begin this process.
Any suggestions that anyone can provide me as to the best way build/buy/assemble a suit would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe

Dan Laws assemble most of the parts, all you need is paint, make duster, get mukluks from canada, wells gloves, nylon belt, webbing in nylon and cotton, para clips. And weather it all down.

Welcome Joe!
Its a great time to get into the 501st with all the renewed interest in Star Wars!
Snowtroopers are awesome and iconic, our most popular costume in Blizzard Force.
Have a read above of the snowtrooper build thread that Captain Wordo has done up:
Snowtrooper build = viewtopic.php?f=78&t=4549
Its a great look into what is involved.
Being in the States you are close to a lot of suppliers for items, like Canadian army Mukluck boots and armour makers in the Northern Hemisphere. We have a few recommended suppliers. You'll need a budget too, its not a cheap hobby, but well worth it.
We're all here to help you with your armour journey, so ask questions!
Cheers
