Hi there! My name is Iane and I intend to join very soon as a Galactic Marine. For now, as a total newbie to the making-my-own-costume thing, I'm on research mode. I would appreciate if anyone could point me to helpful links and such!

Bem-vinda Iane!!.

I'm glad you chosen the GM instead of the Snowtrooper since I can't imagine you trooping this December for the opening of The Force Awakens with a TS at 39ºC in Copacabana... You'd need too many Brahmas or Skols...

You can find a lot of information here as well as in the 53rd FAC forum which was the original Galactic Marine's forum before the costume was moved to the Blizzard Force detachment, so lots of information still remain there but you'll find more activity here.

Boa sorte com o Galactic Marine!

Thank you for the welcome, guys! I can already see I made the right choice!

And you're so right, tango fett! I would have a heat stroke or something. Though considering where I live is terribly hot year round, I might as well get used to that lol and drinking some Skols might not be a bad idea overall haha
I'll take a look at the 53rd forum then, since this is looking like a massive undertaking.
Muito obrigada!

Welcome aboard Iane. Great costume choice, the GM is such a great looking kit. Looking forward to doing one myself...someday.
