Hello from Colorado Springs
Hello from Colorado Springs
Hi All...I am a super nube to all of this...impatiently anticipating my Snowtrooper outfit. Been a Star Wars fan since the first movie. I am not super creative so starting out with a prebuilt outfit but will do more on my own to add to the collection as I get my feet wet. Thanks for any advise in advance!!!

Welcome Eric! Yes for a first costume it certainly is easier to start with one where you get the majority of the kit pre-done for you. There's still a lot you have to do yourself and you get that feeling of satisfaction from making it but the fiddly/hard work is taken care of. I think you'll really enjoy putting the kit together and there is no better feeling than suiting up for your first troop with your fellow 501sters and making people happy.

Hey Welcome !
You've picked the coolest detachment in the 501st to be in.
Snowtroopers are a great costume.
Being in Colorado Springs you are close to a lot of snowies already who should be able to assist you. I met a few this year in Denver, great people!
There are some great friendly and knowledgeable folk here willing to help and answers your questions, best of luck with your armour.
