Checking in from the MWG

Greetings everyone! Just introducing myself...my name is Jon and I'm a Vader with the Midwest Garrison who lives in suburban Chicago. I decided I needed another set of armor that can work (hopefully?!?) with my 6'7" frame. Most of the others out there just wouldn't do, and I've always loved the snowie, so here I am. I have an armor kit coming from a 501st member out on the east coast, and I just ordered the mukluks from Canada for $12...nice. So, here I sit, lurking and reading up as I wait for things to arrive! Looking foward to joining the Blizzard Force ranks soon!

Welcome aboard Jon!
I upgraded your 501st access. Good luck with your build and let us know if you need help.

Thank you kindly! Did you come down for Bartlett this year?

Yep I was there last year. I couldn't make it down this year because I had heat exhaustion from the fourth of July parade in Racine.

Yeah, Racine was horrible this year for sure! I'm not surprised that some of you guys got hit hard by the 105 temps! I was Vader last year at Bartlett and couldn't complete the Bartlett Parade...it kicked my rear! I know we're talking about more of us making it up there for Racine next year. I'll have my snowie ready by then for sure...and maybe Chewie as well.
