Hello from australia

Post by darthsprinkles »

Hey guys

TK 10589 here thinking about building a snowie. I got in contact with Bobamaker. Are they a good vendor or are there other better ones out there? And is snowie armor thick and unbearable in heat? Are there ways to keep cool easily when armoured up?

Cheers :)

Well tom, I'll tell you that I was born and raised in South Florida and I've been trooping for about 5 years in my snowtrooper. I can manage the heat!

Bobamaker's quality is top knotch, I can vouch for that with his other products I've been able to see first-hand. I have ordered T-visors from him in the past as well and never had an issue.

Welcome to the cold side of the Empire Tom. I live in the desert here in California and found the Snowie easy to troop in even in the heat. You'll love being a snow trooper. If there is any questions ya have just give a yell. We are here to help!
From out of the blinding snow we strike for the Empire to put our enemies on ice!!

Hey guys thanks for the advice :) I also looked at Moncal. Are they good? I heard they have long wait times though.

Woo another Aussie! What garrison are you in? I have bought from MonCal recently, the wait time is around 8 months however I have seen his gear first hand and it is top knotch.

Hey Tom, welcome! What Garrison are you from in Oz?
I am a deployed snowie in the Redbacks in Qld. Its hot, that's for sure, I have industrial strength fans in my helmet for a start.

Moncal is awesome armour, but yes quite a wait.

Welcome, Tom. My Moncal Snowie took 54 weeks from payment to delivery. I just received it last week. Cal said their lead times should be more accurate now, however, only time will tell... :P

Hey Darthsprinkles
I just ordered a new Mon Cal kit and the expected wait is 30 weeks.

Where are you based in Aus?
