Hello, my name is Scott I live here in Houston and I am expanding my 1:1 helmet collection. I was referred here as a source for some information that I need.
I'm looking to buy a nice Snowtrooper helmet and Biker Scout lid in the near future (tax season) and I'd like to know where I might be able to aquire a nice movie accurate helmet.
Ive contacted a few people like bobamaker but his next run is in a year, too far away for me.
I have contacted RS Props but to my eyes their snowtrooper helmet just doesnt look quite right, is that my eyes or are they off a bit?
I'm still waiting on MonCal for a response.
I'm not opposed to buying a nice one used either, my two stormies were used and they are still very nice, so I'll look into the for sale threads too.
Thanks!

Hey Scott!
I understand your need to collect helmets...I sorta do the same thing, sometimes almost subconsciously it feels like. Your best bet would to try to get an MC or a Laws. RS props as well as MKR in Mexico produces helmets.
To me, my anal tendencies for accuracy, not any one helmet is more accurate...they all have their discrepancies, so you've gotta just decide which one you really want the most. There is an image reference thread where we posted hi-rez images of the screen used helmet that was auctioned off. You can have a great base helmet to start with but if your cowl is off, it will be evident.
